No Easy Answer For The Best Anti-wrinkle Cream

by Jen Hopkins

What is the best anti-wrinkle cream? It is a question that will get you many different answers, depending on who you ask. Young women, middle-aged women, older women and skin care and cosmetic companies will probably each have their best recommendation.

Wrinkle creams are perhaps one of the best-selling beauty aids there are on the market. If a woman is nervous about going under the knife or isn't comfortable with other injections either, then creams and lotions may be the only alternatives.

Each website you look at will have a different opinion of the best anti-wrinkle cream. Websites for some brands will even use scientific data and testing as proof that they have the best product on the market. This data is most likely a panel of women who used different products and then ranked them for the price, usability, and results.

Other websites will devote their site to reviewing different creams and lotions available to the typical female. Here, you can look at a variety of testimonials, price ranges, and rankings on a wide assortment of creams from an unbiased website.

Some suggestions for lotions and creams may surprise you. Would you ever have thought to use hemorrhoid cream to get rid of your wrinkles? While many women will have heard of it, most men are appalled by the idea since they consider hemorrhoid cream as something to be used for the other end of your body.

Fact is there are no real facts on the subject of hemorrhoid creams. I found various reports and reviews on the use of it and the opinions vary greatly. It may indeed help to reduce inflammation or puffiness and therefore temporarily reduce the appearance of wrinkles, but it doesn't seem to permanently help repair wrinkles or prevent future wrinkles from developing.

As far as specific products, there are common ingredients that seem to work in the best-reviewed products (but none are FDA regulated since they are considered cosmetics). These include retinol, hydroxy acids, Coenzyme Q10, and even tea extracts and copper peptides. Drugstore brands and expensive department stores brands can have practically the same ingredients so research can help in knowing just what to spend.

So, is there a clear answer for awhat is the best anti-wrinkle cream?a No. Consider your age, your lifestyle (sunbathing is not the answer), your skin-type and skin care habits before you put your confidence in a cream. They may help slow the process, but they are not a miracle in a bottle. Eat right, exercise, and cleanse your skin daily -- these will help you a lot in the end.
